Disciplines

Battle Slalom:

This will be a “Battle” style competition, where participants are put in groups of 3-5 skaters and take it in turns to slalom in the cones, before a panel of judges select the top 2 skaters to proceed to the next round.

Classic Style Slalom:

This is the original form of competition, where participants are awarded points for a 90 second individual performance using music of their choice.

Speed Slalom

Participants will need to go through 20 cones with an 80 cm separation as fast as possible. The best timings will advance to next rounds. Final rounds will be on a “Knock-Out basis”

Jump Competition:

Will consist of jumping from ground level. The high jump bar's height will be gradually increased. Skaters not able to clear the stick after 3 attempts will be dropped. The competition's winner will be the skater able to achieve the highest height.

There will be both a mens category and a womens category.

Slides Competition:

For each run (approach & sliding combos until they come to a halt) skaters will be awarded a number of points, and their final position in the group will be down to the runs in each round being added up. Each round will consist of three runs.

The judges will award points for trick difficulty, number of switches and distance covered when sliding.

Skate Cross:

The London Skate Cross will be an obstacle course of ramps, chicanes & jumps in which 4 skaters will go head to head around the course, before finding out who will head through into the next round.
